First Choice Custom Homes was founded in 2003 by Brad and Cindy Thompson. Brad brings to the organization more than eighteen years in the masonry and grading business. Cindy brings a passion for creating an environment that reflects the owners’ individual tastes and personality. Brad is knowledgeable in different types and styles of homes and is complemented by Cindy’s talent for designing unique living spaces. Both Brad and Cindy are active in the homebuilder’s network of businesses and are members of the Greenville HBA, Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. The team also frequents product shows and homebuilders’ shows to stay on top of the latest trends in home product innovation.

Brad Thompson
Brad worked in the masonry and grading business for 18 years before deciding to start a custom home building company with his wife Cindy. All it took was the sale of one home and First Choice Custom Homes was created. Brad is personally involved in every aspect of building a home from the site direction to finishing touches. In addition, he manages new development opportunities and spends time working with the subcontractor teams and researching new building materials and trends.
Cindy Thompson
In addition to being the co -owner of First Choice Custom Homes, Cindy’s true passion is in the design of a home and working closely with each homeowner. She has a natural talent for design and perhaps more importantly truly enjoys getting to know the homeowners and their style right from the start. Cindy is comfortable working with clients directly to choose interior and exterior design elements and spends a great deal of time researching new vendors and style trends in the marketplace.
Both Cindy and Brad love to travel, spend time with their son Anthony, a senior ot Furman University, and take care of the newest addition to the Thompson family, Tally Jo, their French bulldog.
Lee Thompson
Lee has a degree in mechanical engineering from UNC Charlotte. He worked with Duke Energy for 15 years and ultimately managed the research and development team involved in building and specifying new equipment prototypes and design. Like his brother Brad, Lee has also worked in the masonry and grading business, overseeing equipment and the more technical aspects of construction design. Lee joined First Choice Custom Homes last year as a central project manager and is as hands on as his brother. His experience gives him a broad perspective on how a home comes together and is able to create a unique connection between the layout and design of a home and the actual building process. Lee loves to fly and has a private pilot's license.
